Evaluation of the applicability of different viscoelasticity constitutive models in bamboo scrimber short-term tensile creep property research

Abstract Bamboo scrimber is a new natural fiber-reinforced composite material in modern industry. In this paper, the tensile creep characteristics of were chosen as object study. First, axial fracture experiments conducted on different test specimens to determine corresponding strength data. Then six sets standard under given stress levels. Finally, Maxwell constitutive model was applied fitting relationship between strain and time. The results showed that traditional viscoelasticity will result some errors results, while combined fractional can provide much higher accuracy study, thus it more suitable for engineering applications. This paper provides solid foundation better understanding mechanism bamboo behavior.
